Many of my clients complain of feeling stuck in their present thought processes. They face internal conflicts both big and small. They are aware of the way they want to react to situations and approach life, but often they feel sabotaged by destructive ways of thinking. Often these patterns have developed because of traumatic experiences that have occurred over time. Because of these thought processes, individuals can feel symptoms of anxiety and depression. People usually suffer in silence for years without anyone around them having any indication of their internal battle. This can lead to a strong sense of isolation.
I provide EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) for a majority of my clients as most have experienced some type of trauma. I worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife for many years and because of this I have a unique perspective when it comes to women's mental health issues (sexual dysfunction, birth trauma, sexual abuse, etc.).
My passion is getting to know my clients, trying to view the world through their eyes, and working together to bring about improvement in their present life. I believe that ultimately a client’s answers lie within their own self and it is my goal to provide them with the tools to be able to unlock those answers and live their best life.
