Accepting New Patients. Cynthia Benton, M.D. provides psychopharmacology and/or psychotherapy services for adult patients in her private practice in Austin, Texas. She completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of California at San Francisco. She is board certified in General Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has served as adjunct clinical faculty at both the University of California at San Francisco and at the Austin Medical Education Programs.
I have a solo practice, so you can be guaranteed that your appointments will be consistently with me versus switching between providers. I'm easy to get ahold of for requests and concerns. When you are starting a new medication or have questions, it is important that you have consistent high quality care and easy access, and I understand that.
I value getting to know my patients in depth and being able to help them in a long lasting way. I have experience both with psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, and I am flexible about finding what treatment works best for each person.
