How can psychiatrists help with bipolar disorder?
Bipolar disorder is a serious mental health condition marked by significant fluctuations in mood, including episodes of mania—characterized by elevated energy, impulsivity, and heightened mood—and periods of depression, often involving sadness, low energy, and feelings of hopelessness. Psychiatrists play a vital role in helping individuals manage the complex and often unpredictable nature of bipolar disorder, typically through a comprehensive treatment plan that includes both medication and therapy.
