Dr. Cristian Skinner (he/him) is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, graduated from East Carolina University, and earned his PhD in Neurobiology and Anatomy from Wake Forest University. He obtained his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine.
Dr. Skinner works with adults across all life stages, with a special interest in geriatric psychiatry and extensive experience with PTSD, including complex trauma. He is dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ patients at various stages of adulthood.
New patients are welcome in this person-centered, holistic practice. Patients are more than the sum of their illness, injuries, and personal history. My wish is to help the whole person find how to thrive. So, wherever they start from when we meet, I will work with people to stabilize, heal, and find that place of balance which is their own truth.
