Hello! My name is Courtney Tharp and I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I have experience working with individuals of all ages, but have primarily focused on treating children and adolescents. I also have a strong passion for helping new parents and families, and am certified in perinatal mental health. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees from Indiana University (go Hoosiers!) and am a member of the Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Indiana (CAPNI).
In the first appointment, you can expect a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment focused on understanding your concerns and goals. I’ll gather a comprehensive history, including emotional, behavioral, and developmental background, to better understand your unique needs.
My treatment approach is unique because it blends specialized training in perinatal mental health with extensive experience working with children and adolescents, allowing me to support individuals and families across critical stages of development.
