As a Christian, I know the challenge you experience deciding to see a psychiatric provider for depression, anxiety; mood or any other mental health problems because you trust in God. I know you are afraid to accept that God would want you to take medications and if you do, you are afraid that you would be doubting that God can heal you. The struggle to make a decision about improving or maintaining mental health is complex, and everyone regardless of religious beliefs struggle with mental health treatment decisions. The fact is, while a lot is being done to eradicate the stigma of mental illness there is still more to be done.
Thus, I am doing my part to help the process my using my love for humanity, years of experience and training to help you improve your mental health. I have worked as a RN for twenty years before becoming a APRN and so I know how to look at the WHOLE person. Helping clients with medical issues also informs me that isolation leads to mental struggles.
I am so very grateful for the many therapists who refer clients to me for evaluations; medication intervention and management. I know how to build rapport, establish therapeutic alliance and show empathy.
