Being a nurse practitioner is my second career after spending 13 years in sleep medicine. I have witnessed the impact of mental health/illness on every aspect of human life, both in my own sphere and in society. I have a passion for working with children and adolescents, as well as adults aged 65+. I am a Mother to four boys, two of whom are Deaf. I intimately understand the challenges and joys of parenting a child who has different abilities. I strive to partner with my clients and their families within a therapeutic, safe and supportive partnership to assist them in reaching their mental wellness goals.
I evaluate clients aged 4+ to determine diagnosis, treatment options, and co-create a treatment plan. If medication is selected by the client, I perform genetic testing to individualize treatment prior to prescribing medication. I can also recommend specific types of talk therapy based on diagnosis. I perform Autism evaluations for age 18+ months.
