Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Katz received a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Pittsburgh and was a High School Science and Math Teacher as well as an Athletic coach in Pennsylvania for 6 years. She went on to receive a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences with a focus in stroke research from Rutgers’s University before changing careers to study medicine.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and proud Colorado native dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals seeking a holistic approach to mental wellness. Drawing from years of clinical experience, I understand the unique interplay between mind, body, and environment and offer services tailored to each client's individual needs. I obtained my undergraduate degree in classical piano from The Juilliard School, laying a foundation in discipline, listening, and attention to detail. My artistic background, coupled with a deep interest in helping others, paved the way to a career in medicine and psychiatry.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from child and adult inpatient care to community mental health crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Colorado State University in Pueblo, Colorado. After graduation, I worked in various fields in nursing but eventually found my niche working for an inpatient psychiatric hospital. While working with inpatients, I saw the need for mental health, especially with the recent pandemic.

Caroline “Callie” Fernandez is a Columbia University trained, and Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with extensive experience in medication management and psychotherapy. While Callie cares for clients across the lifespan, she has additional training in the treatment of children/adolescents, and integrates developmental strategies into all of her client work. Since focusing solely on medication might not address all of a client’s goals, Callie strives to understand the whole individual to tailor unique treatment recommendations.

Wil grew up in Eagle County Colorado where he started his medical career as a pharmacy technician. This knowledge and experience empowered Wil to help people on a deeper level. Wil pursued his bachelor's in nursing at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. While in nursing school Wil found a passion for behavioral health and the importance of providing culturally competent care and patient centered care in both English and Spanish. The importance of behavioral health and its disparity in our community fueled Wil to gain his Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Regis College in Massachusetts.

I feel that medications can provide relief for biological psychiatric conditions, but most of the long term relief comes from working through and reworking unhealthy behavioral patterns. Treating Psychiatric conditions is an art that requires balancing the medical treatments with looking at unconscious maladaptive behaviors. Once patterns are identified, the work we do will lead to change. I take the approach of meeting clients where they are at and working together in a relational model to reprocess and work through trauma.

I focus on using a collaborative, comprehensive methodology when treating patients and families. I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults, and currently only see patients age 35 and under. My practice is strictly through the use of telepsychiatry which means that all appointments will be held via HIPAA compliant video conferencing software. Many patients prefer this means of treatment as appointments can be done from the comfort of your home or office without the need for lengthy commutes or waiting rooms and it provides access to mental health treatment to patients located in more remote locations. I treat adult (18+) patients located in Colorado, Texas and Washington State though controlled substance prescribing may only be done in Colorado.
