The most meaningful, rewarding part of my work, both for my patients and for me, is the healing relationship that develops in psychotherapy sessions. With prescribed medications or not, psychotherapy is a better way of taking advantage of my additional training and experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, a mind-body relationship specialty, and especially of my psychoanalytic training, a way of listening and observing which invites both the patient and the doctor to treat the mind with the curiosity, humility and respect it deserves. Victory Bay offers a variety of client-centered programs treating Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health. We help our clients successfully detox from drugs and alcohol in a comfortable inpatient or outpatient setting. Accommodations will be made for 24 hour staffing and clients will be cared for by licensed staff including Psychiatrists, APN, RN, etc. Detox is an individualized process, and we have found that a holistic approach is ideal when trying to successfully treat substance use disorder.

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.

I am a highly trained, board-certified psychiatrist with more than thirty five years of experience in integrated treatment in all forms of psychiatric problems. My skills include adolescent and adult psychiatry, hypnotherapy, group therapy, marital and family therapy, and psychopharmacology. In today's mental health market, almost all professionals either practice psychotherapy (social workers or psychologists) or prescribe medication (psychiatrists). I am one of the very few providers of combined intensive psychotherpay and psychopharmacology.

I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.

Dr. Graydon Goss was raised in Tinton Falls, NJ. He attended Christian Brothers Academy, Brown University and Dartmouth Medical School receiving his Doctorate in Medicine in 1977. After training in Psychiatry and Child / Adolescent Psychiatry at Los Angeles County General Hospital and U.S.C. Medical Center, he served as Chief of the LA County Adolescent Psychiatric Crisis Unit. In 1998 he returned to NJ, where he utilizes skills developed over 38 years of practice addressing the complex problems which face today's teens and their families. Unlike many psychiatrists he provides talk and behavioral psychotherapies as well as psychopharmacology.

I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I graduated from Walden University in 2020 with my MSN and focus in psychiatry as a nurse practitioner. I have been a nurse for about seven years with experience in inpatient psychiatry, medical surgical, ER crisis management, forensic and detox nursing. Psychiatry is dear to my heart and I enjoy advocating for mental healthcare. The mind, body and soul make up wellness and health, so without the proper mental health treatment, holistic care is incomplete.
