My name is Corey and I am a board-certified, psychiatric nurse practitioner, offering evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy for adults with mental health disorders.

I am an experienced psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 19 years of experience in various settings, including long-term care, inpatient, outpatient, and telepsychiatry. My practice approach is patient-centered, focusing on helping individuals achieve their goals, improving their quality of life, and fostering connections within families and communities.

Sometimes, you get so busy taking care of everything, everyone else, that you, well, fall to pieces. When you feel like you are too tired, you have no energy left, and you just cannot keep going like this... we might be just right to work together!

Hi! I have been in mental health care for almost 15 years in a variety of settings. The bulk of my experience has been in the high acuity setting of Emergency Psychiatry. I have a passion for empathic care that seeks to understand and help those dealing with not just mental illness, but the stress of life in general. I treat individuals of all ages and mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety. I am also particularly passionate about providing care for psychotic and psychosis related disorders, as well as working with sexual identity and gender identity concerns.

We are a faith-based practice. We help individuals with the daily stress of life. This includes the outcome of depression, anxiety, and mood swings

I find empathy and unconditional positive regard to be healing in and of itself; however, I also understand the value of clinical training and learning to implement interventions according to my client’s needs.

She has strong expertise and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical, addiction, and mental health conditions for patients of all ages, within both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Most of my clients are queer, neurodivergent, chronically ill, and/or disabled. They may seek help with transition concerns, psychiatric medication, identifying/confirming a diagnosis, or therapy/support for living in a society that's a poor fit. Whatever their need, they're seeking someone comfortable with the diversity of experiences that our identities bring and how these intersect in society.

Accepting New Patients! Mental wellness is a lifelong journey and is a very important aspect of your overall health. Often times, one does not recognize signs of a mental illness or there is a lack of understanding about the many treatment options available. We offer service in two states: In-office or Telehealth (OHIO clients) and Telehealth only (ARIZONA clients). We also offer evening and weekend appointments!

A mental health provider/counselor helps patients overcome psychological challenges, often by helping them to develop the insight about their illness, guiding and supporting them in learning to change their negative behaviors and thought patterns, and providing them with the best pharmacological approach in order to treat their mental illness. My interest in Psychology began by spending time with my stepfather, who was a psychiatrist. I became very interested in schizophrenia in 7th grade, which was a surprise to my teacher. I remember my stepfather helping me figure out how to pronounce medications during a trip to see my grandparents. In college, in the 1980’s, I volunteered for a domestic violence shelter/suicide hotline. I took every Psychology course offered by my undergraduate university as my electives.

My goal as a psychiatric nurse practitioner is to build partnerships with patients to effectively assess, diagnose, and manage mental health conditions while providing holistic patient care. Advocating for patient needs and concerns allows me as the provider to achieve the best possible outcome for the patient. Working with patients and families is a top priority and aids in building a lasting, strong, and collaborative patient and provider partnership. I believe that patients have a right to direct their care and it is my responsibility to provide the appropriate tools needed to achieve success.
