In my work with individuals, I have come to appreciate the amazing capacity that we have to heal and recover. I believe that each individual has the ability to create lives that are consistent with who they want to be. Any change is difficult, and yet, I have witnessed people conquer what they never thought possible with grit, commitment, and consistency. While individuals may share diagnoses, treatment is individualized - appreciating one's expertise in life in collaboration with my expertise in psychiatric treatment. I am a bilingual, bicultural doctor, and enjoy working with people of diverse ethnic backgrounds and cultures.
My skills are rooted in the treatment of substance use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. I teach our future providers as a Harvard Medical School lecturer and attend conferences to ensure that I have the most up to date information to implement. I approach treatment with humility - appreciating that you bring as much to this part of your story as I do.
