My practice is focused on therapy with the adult population including seniors who are challenged with issues of depression, anxieties, phobias, self-concept issues. The therapeutic process involves a mutual commitment to work toward identified goals using modalities such as cognitive therapy (transforming beliefs), ego state parts work (connecting with more compassion to our vulnerable part selves) and EMDR therapy (healing from traumatic or disturbing experiences that have affected us and still do.
I specialize in EMDR therapy which can apply to most presenting issues. With this therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), we engage in a process of recovery and healing from experiences that were traumatic or emotionally disturbing and continue to affect us now. The healing process can be truly transformative.
