Usually, this person is looking for medication management as part of their treatment and plans to stick with it for the long term.

First, I review the current medication regimen, if there is one. If I suggest changes or start medication for the first time, I follow up every two weeks after starting any new medication or dosage adjustment. Once you’re on a stable regimen that supports optimal functioning, I arrange a 90-day supply of medication and schedule a follow-up every three months
