Christopher A. Hicks is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with more than 9 years of direct clinical experience providing patient care across the life span. He specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of psychiatric disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, PTSD, and ADHD, with expertise in psychopharmacological and neuromodulation treatment modalities as well as individual psychotherapy.
After graduating from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2014, he dedicated 5 years working in the Nurse Corps providing care to a challenging rural health population in northwest Montana, focusing on implementation of integrated mental health/primary care, improving access through virtual visits, and medication assisted treatment options.
He and his wife returned to New England in 2019 where he has continued his career in psychiatry in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.
