In 2023, after 18 years as a BSN nurse in both clinical and managerial roles, I chose to advance my career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMPMH), motivated by the loss of my adult son to addiction and mental health issues. This experience motivated me to assist others dealing with significant challenges in managing adversity and improving their lives.
With nearly two decades of experience, I have always prioritized compassionate care, patient dignity, and quality of life. My background includes building strong relationships with patients, families, and physicians, supporting individuals through physical and mental health crisis.
My mental health training enhanced my critical thinking and knowledge in areas such as advanced pathophysiology, pharmacology, health assessment, and research methods. Through extensive coursework and practical experience, I became proficient in psychiatric-mental health nursing and graduated as a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
