About
I believe listening - and being truly heard - is one of the most powerful therapeutic experiences. We are social beings, and if we have become isolated, or feel misunderstood, even ignored, we suffer deeply. I bring a high level of attentiveness to my work as a psychiatrist that provides the crucial foundation on which true growth and change can occur. I want to hear your story, to understand how your suffering, whatever its form, has come to be in the present day.
While my training is rooted in the medical specialty of psychiatry, I have built significantly from that rigorous starting point. I pursued psychoanalytic training out of a strong conviction that I would help people best through providing in-depth psychotherapy when indicated, in addition to or often instead of medication.
