My name is Chinyere Okonkwo. I am a dual board certified Nurse Practitioner. I specialize in both Family and Mental health. I currently focus on individuals facing mental health challenges. I aim to help patients feel empowered and supported in their journey toward mental well-being. I prioritize being present, patient, and respectful, ensuring that patients feel valued and not rushed. My clinical approach utilizes a Person-Centered Approach- emphasizing empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard. It’s about creating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals feel understood and accepted. I adopt this approach to help individuals feel heard and supported as they explore their feelings and experiences.
I have found that my style and approach work well with ages 17. My focus is on creating individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's unique needs, symptoms, and health history. I aim to help patients achieve a healthier, more stable mental state, and reduce the distress that accompanies mental health challenges.
