My goal is to help my patients best manage their symptoms with the careful use of psychiatric medications. The gold standard of psychiatric treatment is both medication and therapy, therefore I recommend all of my patients are currently in therapy if they are being prescribed medication. I am a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with the unique combination of 14 years as a School Nurse as well as 20 years with a variety of inpatient and outpatient community based Mental Health clinics. This background allows me to support the child as well as the family and offer clients the opportunity for medication management in conjunction with psychiatric evaluations, collaboration with school personnel and psychotherapists, and appropriate referrals. This comprehensive approach delivers the opportunity to achieve the optimum health in all areas for children age 6 and older, adolescents and adults.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults. In addition to my outpatient practice, I work in a residential group home where I provide psychiatric care for adolescents in DCF custody. My previous work experience includes inpatient pediatric psychiatric care, PHP (partial hospitalization program), emergency room consultation and MCPAP (Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Program).

Dr. Marken is a Columbia- and Cornell-trained, board-certified adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist. He was on faculty at Harvard Medical School and is now on faculty at New York University. Dr. Marken predominantly provides psychotherapy and/or medication management. He has a patient-centered approach that provides thorough and individualized care for your particular needs. As a physician, Dr. Marken focuses on the interaction between the biological, the psychological, and the environmental contributors to mental health. He is a member of the International Society for Sports Psychiatry and works with athletes at all levels.

I provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment to children, adolescents and adults with a history of ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Panic Disorder, Anxiety Attacks, OCD, Depression, lack of motivation and insomnia. I am board certified in general psychiatry and also child and adolescent psychiatry. My full time work is medical director at McLean Hospital (Named America's #1 Hospital for Psychiatry by U.S. News and World Report). I am a clinical instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
