I have 20 years experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families as a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Holding a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Walden University and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of South Carolina Columbia, I specialize in Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health. Throughout my career, I've extensively engaged with individuals facing mental health challenges—bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. My journey started in a community mental health center, where I pioneered holistic care, customizing each approach to meet the unique needs of every client.

I am an integrative practitioner licensed in NJ & MA who can assess biochemistry to identify important deficiencies/abnormalities that may be related to mental health symptoms. I can provide genetic testing for med management. Patients often seek integrative/"functional" psychiatry after they have trialed multiple medications, experienced unpleasant/unremitting side effects, and have not been able to obtain symptom alleviation with traditional psychiatry. I believe strongly in psychotherapy to help the patient work towards healing. I work collaboratively with other treatment providers and am a strong advocate for my patients needs.

Dr. Marie Gipson is a multilingual board-certified psychiatrist and child and adolescent psychiatrist who places her patient’s interests first. She believes that a psychiatrist’s role is, at its most basic, one of stewardship of a person’s unlimited potential.

I’m a psychiatrist double boarded in Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I have over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from ages 5 through 65. My undergraduate training was at Harvard University, my medical school training was at Boston University, my 4 year Adult Psychiatry Residency was at Walter Reed, and my 2 year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship was at Duke University, where I was Chief Fellow. I worked at Duke University and Womack Army Medical Center as an Adult Psychiatrist, then as a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist for the past 20 years.
