In addition to providing standard treatment of mental illnesses with medication and psychotherapy, I like to help my patients become artists of their own lives. Our minds are greater than our mental illness, and we are greater than our minds. At the same time, we have to be honest about the negative effects of a mental illness in our lives, and not delay remedies which can contain, manage, and even remove the dysfunction.
