In your first appointment I slow down, work out what is actually causing your symptoms, and build a psychiatric treatment plan with you that combines medication management with supportive therapy.
Your first visit is a full psychiatric evaluation, about 60 minutes, by secure video from home or in person. I ask about your history, medications, sleep, focus, and mood, and how they fit together. I explain what I am seeing in plain language, then we decide next steps: medication, therapy referrals, and strategies to use between visits.
