My goal as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is to share with you all that I know about healing and recovery from mental health challenges. I work with all populations across the lifespan, from ages 8yrs to 85yrs. I believe that informed patients are better equipped to navigate life's challenges, and together we can explore the pros and cons of medications, as well as allow for a discussion and exploration of supplements, nutrition, sleep and stress management, all of which influence our wellbeing.
Being a parent to a child with mental health needs, I know first hand the feelings of confusion and uncertainty that exists in finding the right help that can bridge compassion and understanding with knowledge and experience.
I've been working in healthcare for over 20+ yrs. I bring both lived experiences in mental healthcare, coupled with training and education, along with my own passion to learn all there is about healing and recovery.
