Many people come to treatment after years of functioning well on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside. They may feel anxious, depressed, burned out, disconnected from themselves, or caught in patterns they don't fully understand. I believe psychiatric care goes beyond diagnosis and calls for deeply understanding the person and how their unique relationships, experiences, losses, and ways of adapting have come to shape them.
I aim to create a space where these experiences can be explored with curiosity, compassion, and care. Together, we work toward a deeper understanding of the patterns that shape emotional life and new ways of living and relating. As a psychiatrist, when appropriate, I integrate psychotherapy with thoughtful medication treatment.
I completed my education and training at Harvard, UCSF, and Stanford and currently serve as Adjunct Clinical Faculty in Stanford's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where I supervise psychiatry residents in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I work with adults seeking psychotherapy, medication management, or an integrated approach.
