I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who is passionate about competent evidence-based patient care. One of my goals is to be an agent in decreasing the disparities in mental health treatment in our communities. My approach to patient care is a combination of integrated patient-centered and culturally competent care to diverse populations that also includes meeting the patient where they are. My patient focus is diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type, Bipolar disorder, ADHD/ADD, eating disorders, insomnia, personality disorders, insomnia, seasonal affective disorder, and ACE.
I communicate by establishing trust without bias with my patient, thus creating a safe environment that is conducive to facilitating optimal outcomes.
