As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I support people whose quality of life is being negatively impacted by depression, anxiety, and other conditions. While medications have their place in many circumstances, I also incorporate non-pharmaceutical approaches, such as therapy and lifestyle changes, so that the need for medication can be lessened when possible.
