Many people struggle with persistently low moods or high anxieties. Such problems can go on for decades and lead to less-than-ideal coping mechanisms. Often such troubles affect important relationships and life goals, which furthers the suffering of the individual. Along the way, people acquire diagnoses like depression, generalized anxiety, addictive disorders, personality disorders, trauma disorders, eating disorders, etc. They may also collect prescription medications that are supposed to help, yet provide inadequate relief. My aim is to provide a custom-built, integrative and cohesive treatment for individuals.
I'm a board-certified psychiatrist who most often combines psychotherapy and medication. I have extensive training in psychoanalytic (psychodynamic) psychotherapy, which in my professional opinion is the most effective and lasting treatment for many psychiatric disorders and psychological difficulties.
