I decided to pursue medicine and specialize in psychiatry because I love talking to people about their life experiences. I treat adults experiencing the full spectrum of mental illness, and I also enjoy working with reproductive-age women who are navigating trying to conceive, pregnancy, and the postpartum period.
I believe treatment is a collaborative effort. When we decide on treatment, I will always offer options and explain the pros and cons of each treatment plan. You can rest assured that the medications I recommend have a good evidence base for the symptoms that you’re experiencing. I always want to make sure the medications are safe and effective.
I will always take time to answer questions and explain the reasoning behind my recommendations. Education on the diagnosis and what to expect over the course of treatment will also be an important component of our treatment.
