Dr. Alvin Lau is a board-certified psychiatrist offering Medication Management, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), esketamine, and Ketamine Infusion Therapy (KIT) treatments. Having seen many complex patients with complex diagnoses, he prides himself on being able to step back and take a thorough look into patient histories. This way, he can tailor treatment plans as much as possible to an individual. He tends to take less of a formal psychoanalytic-style of approach to psychiatry, and focuses on working with the individual person in a caring manner.

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I have extensive experience in individual psychotherapy and medication management. I believe in healing and growth through self-knowledge and that care must be individualized to suit each client's needs. I work with clients suffering from depression & mood disturbance, anxiety and addiction. My other specialties include young adult issues/college students, relationship issues, eating issues, women's health and perinatal mental health concerns.

Psychotherapies are primarily skills-training approaches such as Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies.
My name is Jerry Gelbart. I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, went to college in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I attended medical school at Ohio State University, and trained in Psychiatry at UCLA. I’ve been in private practice for 30+ years. I have helped many people suffering from psychological symptoms with medication and firmly advocate biologic methods of treatment. I’ve had an even greater passion, however, for teaching people how to understand their emotions, and how to put that information to use to reduce problematic symptoms and find greater fulfillment in life.
