As a former Army officer and oncology nurse, I've spent a lot of time with people at their best and at their most challenging moments. Those experiences helped shape my outlook on life as well as medicine, and I changed focus to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. It is my hope to help people engage and find contentment in their lives prior to being confronted with a life-changing moment like a cancer diagnosis. I realize that we all come with our own stories and have travelled our own paths; my goal is to meet you where you wherever you are and work with you to get you where you want to go.
As a board-certified nurse practitioner, my focus is on medication management, but our office is unique in that we take the time to see you as an individual, so that our treatment plan matches your goals for your life. Therefore, in addition to diagnosis and medication management, I do offer brief supportive therapy to address stressors and coping skills.
The coming together of mind, body and spirit, through medication management, therapy and health promotion, can help to move you forward on the path of self-discovery and acceptance, growth and healing. I look forward to walking with you on this journey.
