I am passionate about helping patients who feel stuck and are seeking change. Often, identifying what needs to change can be challenging. My aim is to empower patients to live as their authentic selves by exploring their values, goals, and aspirations. I work to uncover the roots of their struggles and guide them toward progress. While confronting past experiences and their influence on current behaviors can be difficult, I gently walk patients through this process. By understanding past issues, we can identify recurring patterns of thoughts and behaviors that contribute to current "sticky spots."
As a psychiatrist, my expertise encompasses both psychiatric medication management and various psychotherapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed therapy, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy. This extensive and diverse skill set enables me to tailor interventions to each patient's unique needs at different stages of their lives.
Medication management appointments typically last 30 minutes, while therapy sessions are 50 minutes. I will discuss the optimal frequency and duration of appointments with each patient to best address their specific needs.
