As an experienced psychiatrist, I know the pain mental illness brings into the lives of patients and families. My goal is to help you find relief, and to live a more fulfilling life. I am a Harvard-trained psychiatrist, and also worked with Columbia Psychiatry. I work with adults who are facing mental health, relationship, self-esteem, and career difficulties. I use a collaborative and compassionate approach, including psychodynamic, as well as cognitive behavioral, and supportive psychotherapy techniques. I also offer my expertise in psychopharmacology when appropriate.
I earned an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology & Behavior at Columbia University. My psychiatry training was at Harvard's Massachusetts General and McLean Hospitals, where I was Chief Resident of McLean Hospital.
I served as Assistant Unit Director for Columbia's 9 Garden North inpatient unit, caring for patients in acute crisis, often with complex diagnostic, medical/pharmacological, and family situations. I also served as an outpatient psychopharmacologist and psychotherapist at Columbia Doctors Midtown before establishing my private practice.
