Interventional Psychiatry involves a multitude of treatment options utilized by a physician educated and experienced in treating patients that have not improved with everyday treatment. Treatment Options include Upscale Medication Management, Genetic Testing, ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy), and IV Ketamine for Depression. It is for conditions such as depression and anxiety that have not responded to previous therapies. "Interventional" implies rapid and definitive treatment using Evidenced Based Medicine under a Medical Model and International Guidelines.
Upscale Medication Management is more effective than using your Health Insurance Psychiatrist. Genetic Testing examines your individual metabolization of medications, predicts potential side effects, and, if non-Medication treatments can add benefit. ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy), and IV (Intravenous) Ketamine for depression are treatments used when Medications and Therapy are ineffective and/or poorly tolerated.
In Mental Health Treatment, getting better is not dictated by what you have. It is dictated by whom you see. Please visit my website at www.BrianEspinozaMD.com and compare me to other Psychiatrists, ECT Departments, and IV Ketamine clinics in The Valley. Thank you, Brian Espinoza MD
