As a nurse for over 25 years, I have often noted that the source of many of the physical complaints noted for ER visits (i.e., chest pain, abdominal pain, and headaches) were related to emotional distress, anxiety, grieving processes, and depression. No matter the age. By being authentic, empathetic, and taking the time to listen, I was able to help clients identify a major source of their "dis-ease." Engaging in a therapeutic conversation helped them and can help you too.
I have an innate passion for helping others become the most authentic version of themselves, even in the midst of adversity. With children and adolescents, I focus primarily on prevention by facilitating the development of a healthy sense of themselves. I have a special interest in depression, anxiety, ADHD, minority issues and pharmacogenetic testing.
