Hello, my name is Bobby Morton, I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I utilize evidence-based approaches to help people manage their mental health struggles. In addition to medication management, I also provide Behavioral Activation Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as other supportive therapies. I work with patients between the ages of 13 and 65. I treat most conditions including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and thought disorders.
My approach to communicating with the people I work with is very straightforward. I take into account cultural or spiritual experiences in order to provide the best possible care. I believe that the patient is in the best position to describe their goals.
I attended the University of Southern Maine for my undergraduate degree, Husson University for my master's degree, and earned my Doctorate at Wilkes University. I have practiced in community settings, community hospitals, and have worked with the severely and persistently mentally ill patients at state hospitals.
