Living with mental illness is just as, if not more, challenging than living with a physical illness. We understand that just because an illness can’t be seen, that doesn’t mean it’s not there. We are empathetic to the suffering and struggles that patients with mental illness experience as even we have multiple family members who have ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD and/or PTSD. Advocating for the proper mental health treatment of our family members and patients is a priority for us as we have witnessed the profound effect successful psychiatric treatment can have on improving one’s quality of life.

Medication works best in conjunction with talk therapy, and at Kinsler Psychology we provide both! I believe in holistic nursing, and work best with patients who believe that mental health is as equally important as physical health. I’m excited to be practicing in psychiatry, providing holistic, evidence-based treatment approaches to meet patients’ healthcare needs.

Dr. Phan-Huy treats adults of all walks of life. Backed by medical and specialty training from the University of Michigan coupled with broad clinical experience, she provides bespoke care for various psychiatric concerns, including anxiety, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder and trauma-related disorders. Her treatment philosophy is to combine medication where indicated with psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. This integrative approach sets the foundation for healing and life-long well-being.

I am a nationally American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) recognized Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I believe in treating the whole person and not solely the immediate crisis. I educate others to embrace the importance of mental health and to understand it to be as critical as physical health. Everyone is capable of a fulfilling life, regardless of their situation, choices, or past. Quality mental health care should be accessible. Our clients appreciate our various evidenced-based treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Dr. Albert Luong is an adult psychiatrist. He integrates a warm and collaborative approach to treating psychiatric conditions, with the aim of building a strong therapeutic relationship to help patients achieve their goals. In line with holistic treatment, Dr. Luong utilizes both psychotherapy as well as medication management, implementing a safe, empathic, and individualistic framework to allow for healing and wellness.

Dr. Tran has extensive experience treating psychiatric disorders in diverse populations, including college students, LGBT, perinatal, veterans, and those with socioeconomic disadvantages. He also worked with experts in treatment-resistant depression and provided consultations for patients considering procedural interventions such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and ketamine infusion.
