As I was searching for a career path, I was enlisted by my family to assist with my grandmother’s dementia care. It was a difficult but rewarding time that led me to pursue nursing. I have worked in acute nursing care environments for 7 years, including medical-surgical, dialysis, and psychiatric medicine. I decided to pursue my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree due to the substance abuse struggles of some close friends and relatives.
Although medicine is beneficial, I have also experienced the positive impact of physical and spiritual well-being on mental health; I enjoy exercise in various forms and have been playing music for over 20 years. I look forward to assisting you in achieving a holistically healthy life.
