I work with individuals grappling with an array of psychological, emotional, and spiritual challenges, which may appear in the form of depression, anxiety, panic, insomnia, focus problems, relationship and work difficulties, for example. I also help those dealing with chronic and acute stress, such as past trauma and medical-related illness. We will collaborate to explore the psychological, biological and environmental contributors to the situation and develop an integrated treatment plan that can draw from any or all of my specialties in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and complementary medicine.

An integrative treatment approach often includes an exploration of the individual's emotional life and deep concerns through psychotherapy, where I draw upon psychodynamic, attachment, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral models. I also offer medication evaluation and management for individuals already in therapy.

I am current with the latest treatments in Western and complementary medicine. In addition to pharmacologic treatment and/or psychotherapy, we may consider matters of lifestyle, such as stress management, mindfulness, and nutrition. I will work to address your unique needs thoughtfully and collaboratively.

Welcome to our San Francisco Bay Area psychiatry practice, offering psychotherapy and medication consultation, rooted in an integrative psychiatry model. We use the term "integrative" to describe a holistic approach to psychiatric care that draws upon conventional Western and complementary therapies. During our comprehensive evaluation that explores possible biological, lifestyle, psychological, and environmental contributions to symptoms, we work with clients to develop an integrated treatment plan drawing upon our specialties in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, herbal medicines, and mindfulness-based approaches. In our view, "integrative psychiatry" also carries with it the core values of compassion, humility, receptivity, and curiosity.
