Hello, my name is Richard P Brooks Jr. I am a Board Certified Family Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a graduate of the University of Washington Nurse Practitioner graduate program. I offer psychiatric medication management. I am here for those who are seeking efficacy in their lives. I offer Medication management of emotional disorders and psychiatric disorders. I have worked in medicine for nearly 35 years! Family practice, psychiatric medicines, and urgent care. My work history includes critical care at Harborview Medical Center, elsewhere oncology, Native American Tribes, and urgent care on a mobile unit in Central Florida while working with Healthcare for the Homeless. Board-certified in family practice and psychiatric medicines. Also a Doctorate in Nursing Practice.

I work with people of all ages to understand and work toward their goals for a more fulfilling life. I meet all clients with an individualized and trauma informed approach, recognizing that no one can truly understand another's unique experience. I work with clients living with symptoms related to trauma, depression, anxiety, and many other mental health concerns. I specialize in adolescents and young adults, and am passionate about partnering with young people to develop the skills and language necessary to advocate for their mental wellbeing.

Accepting New Patients for ADHD Management via Telehealth/In-Person. Are you looking to work with a medical provider who can help evaluate and manage ADHD? Adults with ADHD may struggle with staying focused, paying attention, completing projects and may feel impulsive and restless. This can affect your work, personal lives and relationships. I provide comprehensive evaluations to discern if your symptoms may be due to ADHD or other conditions, and provide both prescription and non-prescription options for treatment. I believe that ADHD can become a strength if it is managed properly and responsibly.

I enjoy helping others on their path towards self discovery and healing. Working with others through active listening, empathy, understanding, and using a client centered approach. I enjoy working with those looking for relief from their depression, anxiety, or PTSD. I have focused my work on helping those who have been labeled as treatment resistant, or those needing extra care in their life. I help those who set their own goals, and we work together to achieve them. I'm here to listen and understand how to best help you.

Currently open and accepting new patients. There is no ideal client, but individuals seeking to heal from trauma, grief, sadness, and anxiety. We all walk our own paths in life and sometimes need support along the way. Those who are willing to get better and work towards their goals of health and happiness warm my heart and are the driving force for why I practice in psychiatry.
