Although I am not currently offering controlled substances, I assist individuals in dealing with anxiety and depression by addressing specific mental health needs through coaching, counseling, psychoeducation, medication management, and other psychotherapeutic interventions. I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice Dual Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health NP and Geriatric NP with over 29 years of patient care experience. My foundations and ethical beliefs have helped me to nurture, cultivate, and promote human well-being by showing my patients kindness, compassion, empathy, and humility to anyone that passes through my doors. My passion in life is to help others when they need it the most. My goal is the help each patient achieve total mental, physical, and spiritual wellness, especially people of color, women with low socioeconomic status, veterans, and the elderly.

My practice style is founded on the belief that mental wellness is a basic right. While so many mental health struggles have been destigmatized, huge stigmas still remain when it comes to managing addictions. I am originally from Alabama and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for my MSN. I also spent 7 years in the Army and am a combat veteran. I have been in Nursing since 2013 and mental health since 2016 where I got my start at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Tennessee working with inpatient psychiatry. Working with veterans helped me to realize my next career goal of becoming a PMHNP. I set forth and graduated in 2020 with my MSN as a PMHNP.
