My core focus is anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar II, OCD, and trauma-related mood disorders. The first session is a 60-minute psychiatric evaluation, we'll go through your history, current symptoms, what's worked and what hasn't, and your goals. You'll leave with a clear treatment plan, not just a diagnosis.
Therapy with me is practical and goal-oriented. I primarily use CBT and solution-focused therapy to give you tools you can apply between sessions, motivational interviewing when you're working through ambivalence, and mindfulness-based approaches for anxiety and rumination. When medication is part of the plan, I prescribe conservatively and monitor closely.
