I am a psychiatrist specializing in complex PTSD (CPTSD), also known as developmental trauma, or traumatic events that occur throughout development. CPTSD, or developmental trauma, does not have to be one major traumatic event, but rather can simply be certain developmental needs at various stages of development not being met by the surrounding caregivers. None of us escape childhood without wounds. Healing these wounds helps us live more calm and satisfying lives. One of my primary treatments is Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy using internal family systems therapy or IFS.
My specialty area is complex PTSD. I have been doing Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy for 5+ years and have trained with other psychedelic medicines. Both psychedelic medicines and IFS open the same portal that allow one to access Self compassion and other deeply healing qualities of our higher Selves.
After 20 years in practice, I have come to great understanding of the human psyche and its power of influence over all areas of our lives. Without deep emotional transformation of our childhood wounds, we will continue to re-enact our family of origin trauma throughout our lifetime.
