Accepting NEW patients. Any provider can prescribe psychiatric medication - but there is considerable skill involved in creating a thoughtful and effective regimen tailored to each patient and their specific needs. MOST importantly I Listen to my patients! My specialties are depression, anxiety (generalized, social, OCD), and ADHD, but I treat all types of psychiatric conditions. I try to get creative and I am not scared to use 'outside of the box' thinking when other methods have failed.
I really enjoy working with patients who have depression, anxiety, autism and ADHD. For example, when a patient presents with anxiety, I like to examine what the anxiety actually feels like for the patient and use a treatment approach that addresses the specific symptoms (mental, physical, etc.). There is not a one size fits all solution.
My treatment approach is to listen closely to my patients, and to be accepting and KIND. I like to take my patient's personal needs/goals/finances into consideration when prescribing medications & creating a treatment plan. I want them to feel comfortable - developing a strong therapeutic bond is the key to successful treatment.
