About
I am dual certified in both Family Medicine and Psychiatry and have dedicated over 30 years in direct patient care. Mental health is a treatable medical condition that through coordinated care can be effectively treated like any other medical condition. Specialties in healthcare can be good for some things, however having a depth and breadth of knowledge in both mental health and general medicine has helped me to alleviate many patients' mental health struggles by treating underlying medical conditions.
I provide a down-to-earth patient centered psychiatric approach, focusing on psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a wide range of psychiatric conditions including anxiety-related disorders, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, and weight-loss.
My approach is a relatable, stigma reducing, zero judgement, application of evidence based practice that encoumpases medicine and mental health scientificly proven strategies to help my patients live their BEST lives. Just like physical therapy goes hand in hand with orthopedic related issues I believe psychiatric medications and therapy go hand in hand.
