Since our inception over a decade ago, the caring licensed counselors, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists at BasePoint have provided high-quality professional mental health counseling, life coaching, and medication management services to thousands of individuals, couples, and families in Forney, and the greater Dallas area.
BasePoint Academy was established because our community needed an adolescent (12-18) day treatment (PHP/IOP) program that focused on substance issues as well as mental health issues. We know that the fast paced world of cell phones, video games, and selfies, have impacted the way teenagers receive treatment for their addiction and behavioral health, therefore we incorporate these technologies so that teenagers will feel comfortable in our environment.
Medication is sometimes a necessary part of treatment. Our psychiatrist Dr. Kimberly Dobbins, MD, is double board certified in Adult as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and oversees our medical staff that comprises Nurse Practitioners and medical assistants. Together, they work as a team to help you on your journey of healing.
