My name is Augusta Umenyi. I am a compassionate, dedicated and excellence driven, dual-board certified PMHNP and FNP. After over 20 years of extensive experience in diverse clinical practice settings as an FNP, I obtained an additional degree to become a PMHNP to fully encompass mental health and to enrich my passion for holistic care. Currently, I do virtual visit. This widens my patients access to health care in the comfort and privacy of their home. My specialty treatment area includes Anxiety, Panic attack, Depression, PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Eating disorder, Insomnia, Grief/loss and other mental health conditions.
As a dual-board certified PMHNP and FNP, I incorporate an interactive, non-judgmental, empathetic, holistic, and patient-centered approach to make my patients feel comfortable and to avoid missing any pertinent details. My treatment approach will be individualized, culturally sensitive, and will include medication management and Therapy whenever appropriate.
My goal is to build a good rapport with each patient to establish trust, build a strong therapeutic alliance that will encourage open communication, the opportunity to ask questions and hopefully reduce patient anxiety and increase compliance with plan of care.
