My name is Audrey Rolandelli, and I am an Independent, board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Illinois. I treat patients statewide across the lifespan. I provide medication management services along with supportive therapy. I find that the greatest success in mental health treatment comes with deeply understanding a person and viewing their current presenting symptoms as pieces of a puzzle.
I find therapeutic alliance and self-advocacy as pivotal parts of treatment success and my role is thorough assessment and education to allow patients to make informed choices about their course of treatment and care. This can only be achieved by working together with the goal of improved health & wellness.
In practice, I find that multiple theoretical approaches are required based on life circumstances, presenting symptoms, and biological factors. A few of the theoretical approaches I use regularly include Biological, Behaviorist, Cognitive, and Humanistic.
