I am board certified in both adult and child/adolescent psychiatry. I practiced and was board certified in Internal Medicine prior to training in psychiatry. My practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents and adults who deal with problems including all types of anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD and other behavior or emotional problems. After working with patients in a variety of settings as an RN for 28 years, she decided to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing degree at Duke University specializing in Family Practice. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she realized that working with patients on their mental health was pivotal in order for them to achieve optimal wellness.
