Dr. Mitnick is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. I completed my Child and Adolescent training at Columbia and Cornell Universities NYPH Fellowship and stayed on as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Columbia University Child Psychiatry Division. Currently, I am an Associate Director of Pediatric Psychiatry Emergency and Consultation-Liaison Services at Columbia University Medical Center. I started my career as a child psychiatrist and a researcher 20 years ago. I was interested not only in biological basis of mental disorders, but in psychotherapy and the concept of change.
