I’m so glad you’re here! I’m April, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 15+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in pediatric and adult settings. I chose to specialize in mental health to help destigmatize mental health conditions and improve access to care. My own journey through therapy helped me recognize the importance of addressing mental health as it relates to physical health.
I take a trauma-informed, holistic and culturally sensitive approach to help my clients identify and address underlying factors that negatively impact their overall quality of life.
Through evidence-based education and treatment options, we can work together to manage your mental wellness so that you feel empowered to regain control of your life and well-being. My individualized and tailored approach to medication management lets clients overcome barriers to mental health in a way that feels authentic to themselves.
I will create a welcoming and safe space to work through any mental health challenge you’re experiencing. I enjoy working with people of all ages from childhood through older adulthood. My areas of special interest include addressing trauma, maternal mental health, trichotillomania and other BFRBs, and helping LGBTQIA+ folks.
