Daniela Marques
Physician Assistant, PA-C
Durham, NC 27713
I am a dedicated and board-certified Physician Assistant with four years of experience in Internal Medicine and two years of focused practice in psychiatry. My transition into mental health care was guided by a deep desire to create space for patients to feel heard, supported, and understood during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I thoughtfully integrate medical insight into psychiatric care so that treatment feels comprehensive and grounded in the full context of each individual’s experience.

Physician Assistant, PA-C

Cassie is a board-certified Physician Assistant who earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Saint Francis University. She provides care for both children and adults. While studying, she developed an interest in exploring therapies in addition to medication and counseling, especially for adolescents at a crucial stage in brain development. For her master’s thesis, she focused on the impact of music therapy and music medicine as adjunct therapies. The research specifically examined their effects on adolescents with anxiety and depression.

I am dedicated to supporting teens, college students, and young adults who are navigating the stress of contemporary life, particularly those struggling with anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain of their next steps. Their goals are to break free from unhelpful thought patterns, build self-confidence, and develop a clearer sense of identity and purpose. They want to feel heard and understood, finding the tools to create a fulfilling life that reflects their true selves, all within a supportive and compassionate space.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, identity questions, chronic pain, or major life transitions. You may notice patterns that keep repeating in your relationships, feel disconnected from yourself, or carry emotional weight that’s hard to put into words. Often, there’s a desire not just to “feel better,” but to better understand yourself, your emotions, and why certain experiences feel so heavy. At the core, many clients want clarity, relief, and a sense of trust in themselves and their choices.

Hello! I am so glad that you’re here. Are you feeling a desire for change, but are feeling unsure about where to start? Have you been feeling disconnected from your body, emotions, or others? I understand that, even though life might be challenging right now, addressing what's causing your pain might feel impossible, scary, or even harder than what you’re going through at this moment. It makes sense that you might feel overwhelmed. As a therapist who centers body liberation, I’m committed to helping you navigate whatever is making your life difficult right now while taking an affirming and social justice approach to your care.
